Studio vs. On-Location – What’s the Difference?
Studio Sessions: My Haverhill studio is fully equipped for maternity, newborn, and family photography. It gives us complete control over lighting, temperature, and props — especially important for newborn sessions where comfort and safety are the top priority.
On-Location Sessions : On-location shoots take place somewhere meaningful to you — your home, a favourite park, or a scenic Suffolk spot. They often have a relaxed, lifestyle feel and capture you in a natural environment.
When On-Location Works Best
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
Some families prefer to capture those early days at home, where everyone feels most comfortable. I bring along my camera, a few simple props, and use your home’s natural light to tell your story.
Outdoor Maternity Shoots
Golden hour in the Suffolk countryside, a coastal walk, or a flower-filled meadow — location sessions give us beautiful seasonal backdrops.
Family & Milestone Sessions
Children often feel more at ease when they can move and play. Outdoor sessions let us capture genuine moments and laughter without the constraints of a studio space.

Things to Keep in Mind with On-Location Sessions
Weather – Outdoor sessions may need a back-up date.
Lighting – Natural light changes quickly, so we plan the best time of day.
Space – Home sessions work best with at least one area of good natural light.
